It's beginning to...

feel like fall! Just last week the temperature here in Northern Cal was in the 90's, even 100 on Thursday. The last two days the weather has made a turn and we are starting to cool down. I know I still have a few days until October, but I couldn't help myself and started decorating. I love my new house and all its decorating potential.

Wow...

I suck at blogging! I didn't realize it's been 3 months since I last posted. YIKES!
Update on my training for my first half...again I suck! I really should have trained more for it, but the most important thing is............
I FINISHED!
I still can't believe my fat butt ran a half marathon!!! Ok...I walked some of it, but that doesn't matter. My time wasn't great, and that last 2 1/2 miles are a blur just from me forcing myself to breakdown that wall that I had run into.
I am now serious about my training for my next half that will probably be in March and then the Run Like a Diva run on my Birthday in May.

Proof!

photo proof that i actually went to the gym. I have been horrible with my half marathon training, meaning I have done no training at all. Last week my work started a The Biggest Loser competition and I'm participating. So the workouts are on like donkey kong! Tonight ...2 miles in 30 minutes. I'm just proud I got out of my car and in the gym.

Lately I have been spending all my time on decorating, baking, and craft blogs. I have found so many great ideas that I have decided I need another job just to pay for me to do all the cool baking and crafts I have found (is Michael's hiring?
Over the next few weeks each Friday I plan to post some of the cool ideas that I have come across or one's that I have tried out myself. Just remember, I am not Martha so don't expect perfection!
Today I was looking for ideas for Dude's 2nd Birthday cake. Can you believe he's already 2!!! He is not a fan of ice cream, but he loves ice cream cones. Wouldn't these cupcake cones from House of Hepworths be perfect!
and maybe add a little some flair and make them rainbow just like Angry Julie!

I'm a big girl now!

So much has been going on lately and I was thinking just the other day that I need to start blogging about all the wonderful things that are going on. Work still sucks, but I am happy to announce that I have finally become a grown up! We have bought a house!!! I'm a big girl now!! I am going to start blogging about the changes we are doing to the house starting tomorrow with pictures included.

I am also in the very beginnings of training for a 1/2 marathon. I have tried several times recently to lose weight to just turn around and fail. My goal is to run the Disneyland 1/2 marathon in September with my dad. I figure if I pay for the run now there is no way I'm going to waste $$$.
