Memorial Day

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. In between the sunning, swimming, and barbecuing, remember to take a moment and remember those that have served and are currently serving in our Armed Forces. This day always makes me remember to not take the time I have left with my Grandpa for granted. He was in WWII and each year their numbers dwindle drastically. We are so fortunate that he is still around for Diva and all of us to enjoy and are very thankful for his service.

Give me a day or two...

and I will be back to post on a more regular basis. There is just a lot going on right now and I can't keep my mind focused long enough to do a good post.

On the baby front, he's doing fantastic! Only 8 more weeks!!!!

If I were President...

From this day forward, it would be forbidden for your employer to make you work on your Birthday day!!!!
My Birthday has started off pretty good. Diva has been sneaking into our room around 4am (her theory is the sandman carries her in). Last night I broke down and finally bribed her to sleep in her own bed last night. I didn't want to do the whole barter thing so I went straight to money. Nope, she would have none of that. She wanted a tattoo. Good news is, Diva slept all night long in her room and got her tattoo this morning! Bad news...I was up from 3am-5am due to Cobra sleeping on a nerve that was sending shooting pains down my leg and up my arm. So this is how it's going to be with two kids?
Now I am at work getting ready for a busy day ahead. I have to start training someone to take over for me in the event I leave work early (which I am seriously thinking about), throw the first of many going away parties for our Unit (mine will probably be next), and then go home to my loving family and have a peaceful dinner and some cake. A Corona with lime would just make this Birthday perfect!

Am I back in high school?

Do you work in one of the office's where most of the time you cannot tell if your at work or if you time warped back to high school? I always feel like that at my work and it's getting worse.
In March, our Department was given a reprieve from the County and we were not made to start layoffs. Big whoop! We all new that come the 2009-10 fiscal year the layoffs would be worse. Come May 15th we will know for certain how many we will be laying off. How it looks now, I am 6 below the cutoff line and will be laid off. Fortunately, I hold status in the rank below me and will be able to demote myself. Demoting myself means a cut in pay and having to go back and work with the little pukes in the institutions. Not looking forward to that.
So of course people are showing their true colors and going after each other's jugulars. We are already starting to send people back to the institution, but due to my "condition" I cannot go back. I get to stay in my same job until I leave. Other's are starting the bickering of "why isn't that person going back", "why does that person get a good schedule", blahblahblah. The other thing that is happening is people that you that you were friends with...or at least friendly with...are starting to throw you under the bus. Heaven forbid they look like the bad person, equally take the blame, or just stay out of other co-workers business. Go ahead people...I can take it. Just remember fellow co-workers, you piss me off too much and it's on like donkey kong!!!
Oh...the next few weeks are going to be a nightmare. If it gets too bad my Dr has given me the ok to go on disability early.

Diva has been at the top of her game recently. The things that are coming out of that childs mouth only a sailor could love. Her actions have me looking at military schools, because if she's like this at 4 years old I can only imagine how she will be as a teen.

I have sooooooo many things that are going on that I want to vent about here, but I really don't want this to turn into a negative blog. Maybe I should just do a few vent posts and get it off my chest.

On the baby front, everything is going great! I haven't had any other issues since my bed rest a few weeks ago. I will write a post this week more about my pregnancy this week.

Drum roll please...

My c-section is scheduled for.....JULY 17th!!!! It feels good, but at the same time weird choosing your child's Birthday. He could still have his own plans, but I'm really hoping he stays put until then.
I got bored and started looking at famous people that also were born on July 17th and couldn't stop cracking up when I saw this guy pop up...

The Hoff!!! We have this Hoff thing going on at work and I had seen the above ultrasound at Cheaper Than Therapy April Fool's Day post and just had to share.
